More details to this question:
im trying to figure out how my lawyer is calling me negotiating numbers when the number had been set already, all in 1 phone conversation. arbitrtion was in my favor for 35,000 then my lawyer calls saying 10,000 what the use of arbitration if after it you still negotiating with your client behind the scenes. my and opposing lawyers signed 35,000, so why are they calling me as if that never happened. 1 phone conversation my settlement went from...10,000 to12,5000 to 16,000, how and a arbitrtors set amount and they both signed

If the arbitration was not binding, then one or the other side can apply for a "trial de novo" or a new hearing.  Just because the arbitrator said a number doesn't mean its over.  The defendant must be contesting the number, and your attorney is trying to settle without having to go through the whole process.
