Are we entitled to some money?

QUESTION I would like some feed back on if I'm entitled to some money for me and my passengers or not? Yesterday we was in a car wreck to where I end up rear ending the car in front of me. It happened because two cars in front of the car that I hit came to a stop because one was turning with no blinker light which caused all the cars to suddenly come to a stop well instead of the cars slowing down, the car infront of me, he came to an complete stop which caused me to brake but unfortunately the brakes didn't react fast enough. I wasn't spending nor tailing. So, the cops came and the man told them it was the cars in front of him that caused him to immediately come to an complete stop just to avoid raming them and also in the police report it was stated that it wasn't my fault for rear ending him.
