Can I file a case against teacher and classmate for bullying and verbal abuse of 2 years in the class?

They spread bad rumors, lies about me and my family even when they knew nothing about me or my family. Actually, they hates me and outside school they dared to keep eye on my personal life. They made everyone to look in his personal matter. They made me the talk of the town. Whenever I go out of town, there are bad rumors and lies makes the people of other district, state to look into my life. It feels like a lifetime thing. They ruined the famous reputation of my family. Can I claim money from them and is proof necessary for slander? What if I will get (1) no proof, (2) written proof from any classmate, (3) written proof from any teacher (only 5% possibility)?
