Can I still have a case from Dec 2010

More details to this question:
I had an accident on Dec 2010 and the lawyer was Salameh Law Group. They not cont. with the case, he said "it nothing else I can do" I asked him what is going to happen with the Dr's bills, for what he said" the insurance will pay the Dr." I belive what he said, I was hurt, mad, and did not want to see any more lawyers or Dr's so and did not do anything else, after the time past, now the Dr it is sending me a bill for 12,320.23. I had called the insurance company, and they say the had paid the max out and the rest it is my responsability. How I will pay for this. I need any help you can give me please.

You will have to work this out with your doctors. Lawyer is not responsible for the cost of your medical care. If you did not follow up with care or properly pursue a claim, that may be on you. As an aside, if the medical care at issue is over 4 years old, the statute of limitations may have already passed or may soon do so. If the doctor continues to try to collect the money once the SOL has passed, he may violate the Fla. Consumer Collections Practices Act, and may actually have to pay you money if they push to far.
