Can I still sue after a tramautic finger amputation?

More details to this question:
Last digit of my 12 year old daughter finger was traumatically amputated when an adult pushed her as she was climbing onto a boat. The finger was caught in the door. The accident happened in the state of MD Sept 2008. Can I still sue?

Yes, you can still file suit on her behalf until September 2011. If no suit is filed, your daughter may be able to file suit on her own behalf once she turns 18 since she is precluded from doing so until she reaches the age of majority.
