QUESTION

Can I sue a hospital for false diagnosis?

Asked on Jan 28th, 2014 on Personal Injury - Indiana
More details to this question:
I have been diagnosed with cancer and I had surgeries for the growth that keep coming back so now it's trying to come back again. It's cancer. I went to the hospital for some pain pills and told them the problem and what was going on the doctor just looked at it and gone say itโ€™s a genital wart. I told her it's not that and I had surgeries on it. The doctor who done the surgeries on it told me it was going to grow back cause they didn't get all the way under my skin and it would grow back it's been a year since that and now it's trying to grow back. Same spot and painful as ever and I was living in Utah at the time and now I live in Illinois but anyway the doctor put on my record sheet that I have it and now my sister seen it and now she telling the whole world I have it. Now I'm mad as ever from them putting it there when I clearly told the doctor everything it's messing up my life just the thought of everybody thinking I have warts all over my vagina. What can I do about this?

Yes you can make a claim for medical malpractice if you can prove that the hospital failed to properly diagnose your condition. Since the laws are different in each state, you should consult with a medical malpractice specialist attorney in Utah.

This is a matter that really should not be covered without an office consultation. Obtain any records you are able so facts can be best be evaluated. Additional records can then be obtained, if necessary, with assistance.
