Asked on Apr 16th, 2014 on Personal Injury - New Jersey
More details to this question:
I was shopping and as i reached for a box on a top shelf and pulled box down towards me a heavy blue crystal vase or object rushed towards me and i quickly shifted my head sideways and it hit the side of my ear onto my shoulder and then onto the floor where it shattered. Blood was dripping down the back of my neck and the assistant manager and janitor came out and helped clean me up and gave me a bandaid. I continued to bleed and went to the ER where i received treatment, they could not stitch due to the position of the wound and it was treated with surgical tape to seal the 1 inch wound. My face was swollen I had pain in my shoulder and loud ringing in my ear. I was given pain medication. I was told by the asst manager that someone would call me asap to check up on my condition and i am still waiting for this call. The store was full of toddlers and babies on strollers this could of killed a child in an instant.

It sounds like you have a claim worth investigating. Obviously, the store should not stock items on shelves in a way that causes injury to their patrons. Its possible that another customer moved the item and created the risk, but the store has an obligation to take reasonable steps to make inspections to make sure that accidents like this do not happen.  You should contact a local personal injury attorney (one in your state).  Personal injury attorneys take  cases on a contingency basis which means you only have to pay if you succeed.  Additionally, initial consultations are free. You can use the "Find a Lawyer" service through this website to research personal injury attorneys. Then, visit each attorney's website and select a firm that has a record of successful verdicts. If you are unable to find a lawyer who meets these qualifications within your state, sometimes you may contact an out of state lawyer who can refer you to a qualified attorney in your state while providing support related to the issues of medicine.  Click here and here for more information about me. Please note that by attempting to answer your question, I am not acting as your attorney. I will do nothing further to protect or preserve your interests in the absence of any additional discussion with you about this matter. John Ratkowitz, Esq.
