QUESTION

Can I sue her for lying to a probate judge?

Asked on Jan 27th, 2015 on Personal Injury - Alabama
More details to this question:
I went to a business to ask a lady to testify for me about some accusations my husband told the courts. When I arrived, I went into the restaurant and spoke with her husband. The lady called the police and told them I had a gun. The police arrived and ask if I had a gun. I replied no and showed them my purse. The lady told the police she didn't even know who I was. The lady ask me to leave so I left. I never went back to her business. The next day, I was arrested for criminal trespassing. I bonded myself out. I got an attorney and the judge dismissed the case. But my name was dragged through the mud. Then my daughter in law went to a probate judge and told lies and signed papers to have me committed. I was so ashamed. She lied too. The police came to my home in the middle of the night and took me to the hospital. I was released the next morning. She's no kin to me. She's my step daughter in law. What can I do?

You may possibly have a case or couple of cases of false arrest/imprisonment. Consult a lawyer that does such cases. Usually, criminal lawyers will do them. If you had a lawyer on your criminal cases, he or she is probably the best one to consult. Good luck.
