QUESTION

Can I sue my ex girlfriend for giving me bed bugs?

Asked on Jun 26th, 2015 on Personal Injury - Oklahoma
More details to this question:
I was dating a girl for a couple of months and she often stayed the night with her daughter since my nieces came to my house for the weekends. Once, I noticed a few bed bugs coming out of her laptop that was sitting on my bed. She explained that she had been battling them and that it wouldn't happen again as she would be "more careful" not to bring anything that might carry the bed bugs. Of course she then brought blankets, pillows, clothing, all infected into my home. After we broke up, I began getting bites all over my body and discovering bugs in my mattress. They have now spread to both of my sisters homes with their children who stayed at my house. I have had to throw out my mattress and I've been quoted $300 by an exterminator. Is she liable for the costs of this infestation?

First, find a better exterminator. That seems to be a low, low quote to get in your door. Second, you knew there was a problem, you knew she was carting items in regularly. I don't think anyone would lay more blame on her than you.
