More details to this question:
Two years ago I moved to Florida and met someone. After six months of being together. He came home one night drunk. Took me into the bedroom threw me on the bed and spread both of my legs wide open. I scream and holler and was in lots of pain. Going to the doctor to find out he pulled both of my hips out. I have the right hip done last year. I just had to left hip done this year just went back to work. after the insurance pays their part I'm looking at it close to maybe $20,000 bill. Can I sue him for causing this?

Sure - problem may lie with whethe you can actualy collect any money from him. Oddly, this might be a homeowners or renters liability insurance claim if it was his house.
