Can I sue my landlord

More details to this question:
I was assaulted by a tenant at my apt door where she stepped into my premises causing injuries. While she went on a spree of banging everyone's door my door got open due to faulty knob which landlord was supposed to fix as ordered by hpd through 311 complain

Yes it sounds like you have a good case especially if 1. you can show that the door knob was broken allowing entry without a key and 2. that you put the landlord on notice that it was broken and he failed to fix it within a reasonable time frame.
