More details to this question:
I live in an apartment. A couple days ago I slipped off water leaking from the bottom of my refrigerator. My refrigerator has never leaked before. I went to the er. My foot has a couple of fractures and I have back and shoulder pain. Can I sue the landlord?,The landlord fixed the leaking refrigerator and said some part of refrigerator was clogged up, this is some part I would not know about but the mantience man knew about. He said the part gets clogged up from time to time, they took pictures and left. Is the landlord required to do yearly maintence on the refrigerator if they come with the apartment.

There is potential liability on your landlord in a situation like this.  However, more facts would need to be known to truly assess if a lawyer would be able to help you out.  While landlords do have some duty/responsibility to keep a premiss safe, they don't have an absolute obligation.
