Can I sue someone for hitting my car?

More details to this question:
She hit me at a red light slamming into the back and damaged the frame Now my car is a total loss and her insurance company don't want to pay because of no fault law and I still have to pay a car loan.

You must turn it in to your own insurance company in MI. If you do not have collision insurance, they will not pay for the damage. You can sue for your deductible or a maximum of $1,000.00.

We're you injured? You can sue her for personal injury. In Michigan, you can only get the statutory amount for property damage from her. You have to get the rest from your own insurance.
