More details to this question:
I was with someone who told me they had a type of sore on their mouth that was NOT herpes, and we had sex and oral sex and lessthan a week later, I am diagnosed with hsv-1 on my genital region. I am wondering if I might be able to get my medical expenses for the tests, and medications and severe pain taken care of?

The person who gave you the HSV-1 is responsible and should take care of your expenses as well as your general damages (pain, worry, emotional distress, etc.).
