QUESTION

Can I sue the bus garage?

Asked on May 07th, 2013 on Automobile Accidents - Virginia
More details to this question:
My son was riding school bus wearing seat belt. Bus went over a speed bump at 25 mph. The bus driver or assistant heard my son say "I think my ankle is broken," They heard him scream very loud. They moved him from the back to the front and saw that he could not walk. He had to "hop" to the front of the bus. In total he rode about 30 minutes on the bus with his leg broken. The bus driver nor the aid called the bus garage, school, or us the parents.

If the bus driver did something negligent (i.e. something wrong) to cause your son's injury you might have a claim against the driver and/or owner of the school bus for your son's broken leg.  The other issue is whether the 30 minute delay in getting your son medical attention has made worse his injury which could be very difficult to prove.  I suggest that you speak with a personal injury attorney in the city/town/county where you reside.  Good luck with this matter.
