Mother of a drug addicted son lied on a cremation authorization by saying the son's dad was dead, so she signed to have cremation done and autopsy was done by the county before the cremation. She stated that she didn't trust the CO ME and wanted another examination done but called and ask the cremation be done because of money. Then her son's father came into town to our surprise. She then had an attorney send a threatening letter and wanting the name of our insurance comp so they could arbitrate and get a payout. The attorney threatened suit if this wasn't done. They a never filed suit or worked with the insurance company. I was the manager of the funeral home and crematory, so when I showed the owners of the business the letter from the mother, son and attorney that claimed mishandling of the cremation, I was fired. This has been six months ago. I am the only one who was harmed, even though another funeral director on my staff handled their family. I didn't even have anything to do with this.
