QUESTION

car accident not my fault

Asked on Apr 08th, 2014 on Personal Injury - Texas
More details to this question:
I was involved in a car accident in 2013 that was not my fault. My medical bills alone are $30,000 not to mention all the pain and suffering I go through daily. The at fault persons insurance company stayed that the limit of insurance was $30,000.00. They will NOT pay any more. What about all the expenses I've had to pay? Pain and suffering? I was 100% able to do anything before accident now Dr states Im 64% disabled. Is 30000 all they have to pay? I can't even do the job I went to school for anymore!!

If you had underinsured  coverage on your policy you may be able to recover for the other damages. All the other company is required to pay is the limit of the coverage. They should offer to pay the whole amount of coverage or they may be liable for the other damages. If you had no coverage yourself then you need to see if it is worth suing the other driver but it is only worth it if they are wealthy. You should meet with an attorney to discuss your situation.
