Hello, last weekend I arrived back to my house and a car was parked in my driveway blocking me out of my driveway. I called the owner of the car around midnight when I arrived home and got no answer. After about an hour later I got a bit angry and threw my keys and hit the windshield on accidnet and broke it. THey finally came to move their car at 2 am and upon their arrival I explained what happend and took responsibility for the windshield. Upon seeing her windshield the girl got in her car, while intoxicated and out of anger backed into our neighbors house and damaged her truck. Today I just received a call from her insurance saying they reported that I got into my car and rammed it into her car. There is no damage on my car firstoff, second When I threw my keys out of anger I lost my key and had to have a locksmith come out and replace my key. I also have wittnesses who saw the girl ram her car into the house. What is the best way of handling this situation.
The best way for you to handle this is call your automobile insurance company and advise that someone is making a claim against you. They will investigate and make a determination as to whether coverage applies or not (it wont if the investigation reveals that you didnt do anything). Then, if they file a lawsuit against you, your insurance company may provide you with an attorney who will defend the action. But, it is very important that you call your insurance company now and report the claim, because most policies require you to report a claim as soon as practical.
Best of luck, and stop throwing things in anger. It is only going to get you in more trouble.
