More details to this question:
customer visits our wash and when the wash is done, she is preoccupied and does not pick up her car when it is done. We had to park her car next to the drying lot. When the customer realizes her car is done? she picks up her keys and falls slips and falls right in front of her car hurting her ankle. The car was parked in a common area lot. it is not part of our property. They hired a lawyer and is demanding our insurance information. Do I need a lawyer to defend me in this case?
You certainly should get a lawyer if they are attempting to make a claim, but assuming that you have insurance coverage, your insurance should handle this. You should submit the issue to your insurance company and they will likely provide you with counsel.
