do i have a case

More details to this question:
was put on light duty, no lifting of more then 10 pounds, was continually put back in the field, foreman called from one job and asked if i was light duty because i had an ice pack on my elbow, the office person had trouble finding the doctors orders the called back and confirmed i was on light duty, still continued to send me to field until i could barely lift my arm, now i am going for surgery, they egnored doctors orders for 8.5 weeks, now i need surgery for injury, do i have a case....they threatened one guy that if he contacted a lawyer they would fire him

Unless this is a workers comp claim originally, employers are not obligated to employ you on light duty just because your doctor recommends it. You be at risk of being fired. It is YOU that is required to abide by the doctors orders and if you cannot or chose to work in a manner that causes more problems, this is not generally the responsibility of the employer.
