What will happen to me if I fail to appear in court for uninsured vehicle and not wear I got my wisdom teeth removed a little over a year ago? As far as I knew, there weren't any complications or anything. I go every six months for a cleaning and I went for my second cleaning on 9/30/14. I didn't have any X-rays taken this appointment, but I believe I did at my other cleaning six months ago - I can't remember. The dentist and technician were whispering behind me and pointing to my jaw and then finally told me that when they removed my wisdom teeth they believe a piece of metal from one of the instruments they used broke off in my gum so now I have a piece of metal about an inch long in my gum. The dentist seemed like he was trying to deter me away from getting it removed. He said there wasn't an infection or anything, but those X-rays were taken six months or more ago. He said that there wasn’t any need to get it taken out if it wasn’t bothering me, but then I asked if it would cause problems later down the road and he told me he didn't know or couldn't guarantee that it wouldn't. He said that he doesn't know exactly what it is and that he wanted the technician to take digital pictures to find out exactly what it is when I come back for my next cleaning...in six months. He said that my bone grew around the metal and treated it as if it was an implant. What I don't understand is why they didn't feel the need to tell me about this as soon as they found out. Do I have a case for this situation? Ring seat belt?
