Do I have a case to pursue ?

Yes it’s possible. However you must show that the store was on notice of a hazardous condition that foreseeable could result in a slip and fall, and failed to eliminate that hazard. Did the fall happen at night? Did you take pictures of the hanger to show the hangers condition and were there witnesses? These and other questions need to be explored prior to making a determination about the case
