More details to this question:
My car was hit on private property and the driver left. I was not in the vehicle at the time. The police wrote the report as hit and run. The driver was found later and admitted to hitting my vehicle.

Make a claim against the auto insurance company for the hit & run driver. In the alternative, you might be able to make a claim against your own auto insurance company depending on which type of coverage you purchased and the amount of any applicable deductible. Good luck with this matter.
