QUESTION

Do we have a case?

Asked on Mar 02nd, 2016 on Personal Injury - Louisiana
More details to this question:
On Saturday 2/27/2016 at around 3:30 pm, My wife and I were meeting my brother at the Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner in the Slidell Town Center. My brother was already there waiting for us in the parking lot. I dropped my wife off in front of Longhorn Steakhouse and parked my car. My brother came up to me and asked what was wrong with my wife sitting down on the curb? We went to her to find out that she tripped over the curb and fell on her face. There was a very large hematoma bleeding on her head and a scraped on the top of her lip and nose that was visible. We took her inside and sat her down in the waiting area of the restaurant and the attendants call for the manager.

I am sorry that your wife was injured and hope she is on the road to recovery. Your description of the incident does not provide enough information to offer an opinion.  Trip or slip and falls are always challenging cases that require great attention to detail, careful collection of evidence, the input of qualified experts and much time, effort and energy.  As such, many lawyers will only take these case if it involves a very serious injury.  I suggest that you contact a local lawyer and discuss the matter in person and in detail in order to fully understand your rights, the viability of any claims and all time delays that may limit your rights.  You can also find very general information on the topic on my website.  Good luck.
