More details to this question:
Local McDonalds on Halloween at 6:30 pm we ordered and went to sit down and McDonalds staff (manager) came carrying 2 trays of food 1 which had 2 large Coffee on it. We were trying to tell her that it was not our order as we hadn't even set down yet we were just getting to table, she said it was and then proceeded to stumble and spill one of the coffees directly into 5 month old babies car seat. It landed directly on her chest and splashed hot coffee all over her face and then down her front. The manager just stood there saying oh my god I'm sorry over and over and babies mother unstrapped baby and I (grandmother) and mother immediately striped off the clothes halloween costume from baby. There was reddness on baby's neck and chest as well as her hands, knees and one foot. Management wanted us to drive 10 miles to an urgent care when there was an ER 1000 ft away. Baby was not burned badly but did have reddness which with sauve will be ok but probably due to our quick response.

You can make a complaint ott he McDonald's owner and see if they will compensate you in some form - pay medical bills, etc.  You might want to talk directly to a personal injury lawyer but unless there were substantial injuries to the child, it is likely it is not much of a court case.
