Does a debt go away?

More details to this question:
I was sued by an insurance company and did not go to the court date and got a letter that I owe them 15000. What if I can’t pay? Will it go away after time? What can I do to pay less? I cannot get my license until I start a payment plan

Its a judgment good for 20+ years as a lien on things you own and can be used to garnish wages and take your property to sell.
