QUESTION

Dog bite

Asked on Nov 04th, 2016 on Personal Injury - New Jersey
More details to this question:
My aide stepped out of the house to get something for my mother; came back in to the yard and unexpectantly ran in to the dog who proceeded to bite her. We live in NJ. We have, of course, offered to pay the DR bill without a doubt. But soooo worried what can happen here.

The liability for dog bite is homeowner's responsibility.  If you have homeowner's insurance, check the liability provisions to see if liability for things that occur on the property are covered.  If the aide does accept any payment for her injuries, make sure that you get her to sign a release that will prevent her from suing anytime in the future.
