QUESTION

dog bite

Asked on Jun 28th, 2013 on Personal Injury - New Jersey
More details to this question:
2 dogs running loose on the street. I stayed behind calling animal control/police to see if I could get someone to pick them up. Dogs laid down; I was leaning on a parked car (I was in the street) and one dog charged me and bit me. Dog was 1 year overdue for rabies vaccine. (Owner rushed him to to the vet after dog bit me and another person). I went to ER for Tetnus, meds, but don't know what to do? Dog owner is a cop with 3 young kids. (Shepard and boxer)

A dog bite is a personal injury and you have a viable lawsuit against the dog owner.  You can get reimbursement of your medical bills, damages, and possibly pain and suffering.  Depending on the bite, the damage and the scars, you should see an attorney and consider filing a claim.
