QUESTION

Drivers licence suspended due to wrong VIN on insurance

Asked on Jul 18th, 2014 on Automobile Accidents - Virginia
More details to this question:
Went to DMV to change my address on my DL. They told me license was suspended because my car was not insured. Called my insurance because i have monthly ACH for payments. They insured the wrong VIN #. They corrected the VIN mishap then faxed confirmation that my car was insured so the suspension was lifted. However I paid a $145 DMV reinstatement fee. Can I get this reimbursed? I live in VA and have been with this insurance company since March.

If your insurance company made the mistake as to the wrong VIN #, yes I think they should reimburse you.
