QUESTION

Fraud Attorney

Asked on Mar 05th, 2013 on Automobile Accidents - District of Columbia
More details to this question:
I was called the next day after my accident from a law firm. The sale representative even came to my house to have me go to the doctor and fill out paper work. I received a letter from another law office that this could be a fraud. I don't know if this is legit because I have only spoken to the lawyer today after calling his office and asking for him or his representative. When he return my phone call. It was blocked. How do I know if he is legit if his information is listed on the bar association

If you have any questions or concerns as to the manner in which you were contacted by a law firm the day after your accident, I suggest that you call the Office of Bar Counsel at the District of Columbia Bar.  You can also check on the status of a lawyer through the District of Columbia Bar by calling them or checking their website.  Good luck with this matter.
