You can fire your lawyer and get a new one, but you should realize that the lawyer you have may be entitled to part of the recovery if you have any, and your new lawyer will have to basically start the case all over. Make sure you are firing your lawyer because the lawyer isn't doing the job, not because they gave you advice you don't like. If it is because you don't like what the lawyer said, the next lawyer may come to the same conclusion and say the same thing.
