my vehicle was totalled by a driver who rear ended me then ran from the scene. the owner called in the vehicle stolen 11 hours after the accident. after the investigation was completed the officer has video and audio survailance of the vehicle owner's boyfriend leaving the scene. now her insurance has denied my claim because she has obtained a lawyer to fight the case. How should I go about recovering money from their insurance company for the loss of my vehicle.

You will be able to file with your own insurance company. Then, when your insurance company sees that the claim was denied, your insurance company will pursue reimbursement from the insurance company of the driver and/or the owner of the vehicle. In most motor vehicle damage cases, the insurance companies hire an attorney to represent the insured. Before you do anything, you should follow up with your own insurance company, submit the claim, and see if they will be pursuing it. Good luck.
