Hit and run now computer will not work

More details to this question:
My car was hit and run but have tracked down the person she has ins and they are covering my car and my personal belongings that were messed up i have a MacBook Pro computer in the trunk that will not work now and they do they have to replace it for full face value?

They only have to reimburse the fair market value for the damages.
