QUESTION

Hit & Run?

Asked on Feb 07th, 2018 on Automobile Accidents - Florida
More details to this question:
My vehicle was legally parked on the street. It was hit (minor damage) by someone who left a note on my windshield leaving only her name and cell #. When I talked to her she asked for 3 estimates. I did that but now she is complaining about how expensive it is and demanding that I have certain items taken off the estimate. She has not given me her address, vehicle plate number or insurance company. Isn't that a violate of FL statues? What is my recourse with this woman. I want my vehicle fixed at a reputable GM collision shop.

You should have reported it to the police right away. Ifyou have collision coverage report it to your insurance carrier and let them deal with it. Otherwise its simply a crap shoot dealing with this at this point and where it ends up.
