My son is 16 and he just got his license. We live in a small town. My son has been pulled over 10 times since he started driving. No tickets given. We bought a home and an older car. A 93 firebird v6 the first time is a gimme. We bought the car and it was in the shop for a few weeks. He got it home and we went out for Mother’s Day. They pulled him over for the other person’s tags. That day, we bought his tags on line and placed it in the back glass where they said to place it on the website lower left corner. They pulled him over because they said it was a routine traffic stop. After they pulled him over, they told him to move his paper plates up higher. They pulled him over from the corner of the house so wife and I was outside talking to my son. The police came by and asked my son if he was smoking because they thought he had something in his mouth. They pulled him over again because they said his taillights were out. They were not. Just put new ones in that day so I went and bought LEDs. They pulled him over again just to ask him when his plates will be in even though it was June and the paper plates are good until late August. He has been pulled over other times and he was always respectful. How can I get them to leave him alone? Like I said, he has never got a ticket. It just looked like they are flexing because he's a teenager with a somewhat sport looking car.
