QUESTION

How do I get Compensated for damages

Asked on Jan 05th, 2023 on Automobile Accidents - California
More details to this question:
I was driving up to the intersection with a truck in front of me when he stopped past the cross walk on a red light, I was at least a car length behind the truck stopped. Then I saw the trucks back up lights come on beginning to reverse. I honk my horn then the truck accelerated faster and backed into me causing significant damage to the front of my car. I took pictures, have a police report and found out the driver's vehicle was not insured. There were no injuries. I am an insured driver with an excellent record, now this accident will cost me time and money. Thank You for your time.

If you have uninsured motorist coverage on your policy, then you can submit a claim to your own insurance company for the damages.
