How long can police impound vehicles and is there a fee?

More details to this question:
It is being held after a bodily injury accident on 8/24/12. No charges have been filed nor do I think that any charges will be filed. Are impound fees incurred when being held for an investigation?

Have you asked them? I truly do not have an answer for you, so I would suggest that you inquire at the police pound and/or at the station.
