QUESTION

How much compensation should I ask for?

Asked on Jan 02nd, 2013 on Automobile Accidents - North Carolina
More details to this question:
I was involved in an auto accident where I was not at fault. The other driver failed to yield at a stop sign and turn in front of my car. I was going about 45mph and swerved the car to the left to try to avoid a head on impact. The impact was to the right front of my car, which is considered totaled. Both front airbags deployed. Was taken in the ambulance to the area and have had one follow up appointment, plus seeing a chiropractor which is suppose to continue for 6-8 weeks. My insurance does not cover the chiropractor.

Sounds like a modest soft tissue case. Ask for 5 times your bills and be satisfied with what you can negotiate. Juries don't pay anything for these type cases in NC.
