Unfortunately, I cannot advise you as to the worth of your case as I have no information regarding your injuries, medical expenses, or facts of the incident.

You don't even tell us what your injuries are. Assessment of an appropriate settlement requires detailed analysis of liability and damages, including application of legal principles, evidentiary factors, medical documentation, out of pocket expenses, calculation of future losses and experience in your jurisdiction as to likely range of prospective jury awards. To answer the question properly, one would need extensive examination of all the evidence, particularly the medical records. Many people use this site to ask what their case is worth. Our answers are always: Get in touch with a personal injury lawyer in your area. That is the best way to get the best settlement in your case.

No one can answer that question very well without knowing a great deal more about the circumstances, and about your injuries and losses. How much and how long did you suffer pain? Did you lost time from work? Are any of your injuries likely to be long-lasting or permanent? Did you need to hire other people to assist you in meeting the tasks of everyday life? etc. etc. Consult a skilled personal injury lawyer.

You should speak with a personal injury attorney. Take pictures of the accident site and document the "defaulted wood." The value of your claim depends on many variables, including the nature and duration of your injuries, medical bills, wage loss and strength of your liability claims.

No set amount. Every case is fact dependent. Many variables go into determining what a reasonable settlement range may be.

How many stories? What injuries did you suffer? What medical treatment did you incur/pay? Are you insured? Any witnesses to the fall? Did you miss time from work? What earnings did you lose? Has you life been altered in any way because of the incident, either temporarily or permanently? These are just some of the questions an attorney would ask to place a value on a case. There is no magical formula allowing an attorney to answer your question. Each case is unique. You can recover medical expenses, lost earnings, and damages for pain, suffering and inconvenience. The latter of those available damages is subjective and depends on the severity of injury, the expenses incurred and paid, the earnings lost and the effect on your life.

Why don't you tell me some facts. You fell because of "defaulted" wood. What kind of wood is that? if there is a defect of proper maintenance and that is the fault of the landlord then you may be entitled. But you have to have real injury. what injury? what dr bills settlements are based on real liability, real injury and real medical opinions and real bills.l you didn't mention any of the above.

The settlement amount, in just about every personal injury case (including yours), really depends on several factors, which include (but, are not limited to) the following: the nature, extent & severity of your injuries; the amount of medical bills & lost wages you have incurred; your age; and, so on. Using such information, your lawyer (that is, assuming that you have hired one to handle your case) should be able to give you some idea of what your case is "worth."

It depends on a number of things you do not address. We need to at least know whether the complex knew or should have known the wood was faulty and the nature and extent of your injuries and damages. But even then, it would be difficult to give you a figure. I would presume such a fall would result in significant injuries, which could result in significant damages. Because of that, you probably should seek the advice of a lawyer knowledgeable and experienced in accident law.

It is difficult to answer your question without more details. I need to know the extent of your injuries, the medical treatment you received, the total amount of medical bills, if you sustained any lost wages, and the circumstances of the fall.
