QUESTION

How much money am I entitled to?

Asked on Feb 15th, 2016 on Automobile Accidents - Washington
More details to this question:
My car was parked on the street when it was hit and totaled. I wasn't in my vehicle. A police report was filed. The guy who hit me has full coverage through farmers insurance. I took out a loan to pay for my car. It was $13000 and I currently owe $11000. Does his insurance owe me $13000 for my totaled car?

Under the law Farmers has to pay the full market value of your car. If you owe more than the market value the only way you can recoup the difference is if you have "GAP" coverage on your own policy.
