How will my personal injury suit work?

More details to this question:
Got hit by two cars while sitting at a red light. Both ran the red light, witnesses and video evidence backs it up. I was transported to the hospital, undergoing treatment for post concussion syndrome, leg injury, no surgery. What compensation does my lawyer go after? Both parties bodily injury limits? I know one of the drivers has the state minimum, will they supplement it by using my own insurciverage?
