How would I know who is at fault in an accident?

More details to this question:
I was hit by another car. Police report said that I cut the corner from where I was making a left turn and the car that hit my car fail to yield a stop sign but I did not cut the corner.

I would suggest that you obtain a copy of the police report and then consult with an attorney.
