QUESTION

I fell on the ice in my mobile home park

Asked on Jan 04th, 2016 on Personal Injury - Washington
More details to this question:
I slipped on the ice going down the hill on a common area road within my mobile home park. The landlord has a contractor clear the main road, but he never clears the road going down the hill where I have my dog go potty. The first time it snowed I shoveled a small path so I could safely walk down the hill. The second time it snowed the snow had frozen and was hard and I couldn't remove it myself so I spread some ice melt pellets out and hoped it would help. Two day after this it was still around 9 degrees as low and around 20 as high temp. These temps were to cold and the ice remains. About 11AM I took my dog down and while about a third of the way down I slipped on the ice, fell and hurt my wrist. After about 2 hrs I told our resident manager that I fell and my wrist was hurt. I wasn't going to go to the Doctor, had my daughter help put a splint on it. She said I should go see the Doctor. I did the next morning. Who is responsible for my cost?

Your landlord is responsible for keeping common areas reasonably safe. I he/she was aware of the danger in the area where you fell and did nothing to fix it, that person would be responsible for your medical bills.
