QUESTION
I GOT HIT BY A UNINSURED DRIVER. I NEED ADVICE!!!

okay so here is the situation... I got into a accident with another driver, who convinces me to take his information and remain calm. I've never been in a accident before so I don't know what to do... He gives me his number, the license plate tag, his name and his driver's license... okay so far so good... so I call my insurance company to open a claim.. they tell me that the driver's license info I gave them was not enough digits... at this point I need more info. I contact that person, and he picks up, we speak breifly before the phone shuts off, I call him again, and now his number is disconnected. I don't even know if the name he gave me is even a REAL name!! now I have a disconnected phone number and a driver's license number that doesn't add up... and you know what the WORST part is??? WE BOTH LEFT THE SCENE!! that's right!! there is NO POLICE REPORT!! this is only because they guy seemed genuine and claimed that he was on his way to work and we could talk about it later. HELP!!?
