I was in a T.J.Maxx dressing room yesterday (10/11/2022) and stepped on a shard of broken glass with my left foot. After the semi-deep puncture, I bled a lot and immediately alerted the dressing room clerk and they brought some first-aid supplies and did an incident report while I dressed the wound. They said that someone may give me a call today about the incident but I don’t want to speak to anyone from their end until I’ve spoken to a personal injury lawyer on what actions to take. Currently, I can’t walk properly because of a limp I have when using my left foot. I use public transport as a mode of transportation and can’t afford to use a car service to go everywhere right now. I work as a caterer which means I’m on my feet all day, so I can’t work until the wound has healed. I don’t have health insurance but I’d like to go to the doctor to prevent any infections, possibly getting a tetanus shot. Any help on actions to take next will be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
