I was bitten by a dog. What should I do?

Last month I was bitten by a dog while I was out of town. I suffered injuries and had to have stitches. This incident ruined my vacation. The person does not have renters insurance. They agreed to settle out of court and they did not follow through. Now here I am trying to figure out my next move as soon as possible. Please help.
