You were in an accident and either don't have insurance, or chose not to use your own insurance to avoid paying the deductible, and the adverse insurance company is horsing around having your car inspected and the damages paid for. Your car sits at a tow lot, and you incur daily storage charges. You have no car to get around. They won't provide a rental car to you and have no money to go out and buy a replacement vehicle. Worse, sometimes the towing company actually crushes your car and the insurnace agent can't ever go out and inspect it.      You can still get the value of your car by going to Edmunds.com or Kelly Blue Book, and determing the value of your car and presenting that to the insurance company. If you were injured in the accident, you should consider hiring a personal injujry lawyer to represent you on the case. They can also help with the property damage portion of your case. I can't tell from your post if the insurance company is refusing to pay on your car becasuse liability is contested, or because you two are in disagreement on what the value of the car may be.
