If I get pulled over without an sr22 and ppurchase the insurance, can I still drive?

I was pulled over and couldn't afford to pay my sr22 insurance. I'm a single mom of a three month old and just started working again. I had too many moving violations as a minor, my last violation being in January 2014. I will be 20 in June. The cheapest insurance I can find is 287.00 a month. I am a waitress working part time. I plead not guilty at my first court hearing so I could talk to a lawyer and see what I can do about getting the charges dropped if I just pay the insurance. Am I able to drive if I pay the insurance before my next court date?

You need to get the insurance in place and hope that the Judge will cut you a break. explain all your circumstances. You may have to go through the BMV and pay additional reinstatement fees. I cannot tell you the exact process because I do not have sufficient information.
