in a accidental death, does there have to be an autopsy performed

More details to this question:
Father in law fell on Monday April 17th was taken to emergency room. received Stitches to his head and was observed for approximately 7 hour and returned to Assisted living home. was ill most of the week Throwing up and not feeling well, Died on 4/22/17 and is at funeral home waiting to be cremated. He has a policy for accidental death. do we have a claim?

You most definitely need a private autopsy.  We just handled a case similar and it was made must easier because we had an autopsy on the deceased person.
