QUESTION

Injury at a museum

Asked on Nov 18th, 2013 on Personal Injury - Massachusetts
More details to this question:
My son fell at a major museum, hit his head on a table, and took 6 stitches to his eye brow. I haven't planned on taking any legal action - but curious if it is something I should consider? So far, they have offered refund, and I paid for ER visit.

More information would be needed to answer your question.  You stated that your son fell, but not how or why he fell.  If he is responsible for the fall, for example, he tripped over his own shoelace, there would be no claim.  However, if one can show the museum or other third party responsible for the fall, then there may be a valid claim.  I would suggest you contact an experienced slip and fall attorney for a free consultation.  In Massachusetts, you have 3 years to make a claim or else the claim is forever barred.
